This memorandum from a State Department meeting reports that Condor is adopting an increasingly 'active' role and is turning towards tracking down and carrying out attacks against leaders of guerrilla organisations. The French security services have been alerted that Condor may be planning on carrying out operations against JCR leaders in Paris.

This CIA report discusses documents of the Revolutionary Coordinating Junta (JCR) found on Amílcar Santucho [ERP member detained in Paraguay in May 1975], which concern the JCR plans and activities in Europe and Latin America. It notes that JCR representatives met with human rights organisations in Geneva regarding the situation of political refugees.

This memorandum written by Assistant Secretary of State for Latin America Harry Shlaudeman to Secretary Kissinger outlines options as to how US Ambassador to Uruguay, Ernest Victor Siracusa, should make representations to relevant authorities regarding the security situation in Uruguay and Operation Condor. 

This report evaluates the declining strength of the JCR from an international, armed revolutionary network to a propaganda initiative. It also documents the countersubversive operations by the military regimes of South America, through Operation Condor, and how these have effectively curbed both the armed action and propaganda activities of the Revolutionary Coordinating Junta (JCR).

The CIA reports on the withdrawal of the Brazilian observers from Operation Condor. Brazil had joined the Condor organisation in mid-1976. This withdrawal comes after Brazil failed to send any representatives to the meeting in Buenos Aires between 3 and 6 October 1977.

The Argentine State Intelligence Service (SIDE) invited the Peruvian National Intelligence Service (SIN) to join the “Condor” group, subject to the approval of the other member countries. SIN agreed to a SIDE request to attempt to locate Argentine exiles in Peru.

The first contains intelligence regarding the crossborder travel of agents from Condor member countries to support countersubversive operations in Argentina. The second and third documents examine the activities and reorganisation of the Montoneros guerrilla movement in Argentina.

In this document, the CIA reports on the pressure from the Argentine military regime for Paraguay to join "Teseo", an action unit established by member countries of Operation Condor to conduct physical attacks against political opponents of the Southern Cone's military regimes. The Teseo Operations Centre is located within the 601 Intelligence Battalion in Buenos Aires.

This 'Weekly Report on International Terrorism' by the US government informs that Ecuador joined Operation Condor in January 1978. Ecuador will be designated in official Condor documents by the country code name of Condor 7. It also notes that an Argentine military officer, chief of the Condor communications system (Condortel), was at the time supervising the installation of a telecommunications system in the Ecuadorean Ministry of National Defence.
