This memorandum, addressed to the US Ambassador in Buenos Aires, was written by the Regional Security Officer (RSO) James Blystone and reports on a meeting the RSO had with a member of the Argentine Intelligence Service. The source stated that the 601 Battalion had, with the cooperation of the Peruvian military, picked up four Argentines in Lima, Peru. The four individuals are important members of the Montonero hierarchy. The four Argentines were being held in Peru and would later be expelled to Bolivia where they will be then sent to Argentina. Once in Argentina they will be interrogated and permanently disappeared.
