El Juicio por la Operación Cóndor en Italia: Buscando verdad y justicia más allá de las fronteras

Almost 45 years after the foundation of Operation Condor in Santiago de Chile, it is an opportune moment to address various questions related to the search for justice for the transnational crimes that were committed within the framework of state terrorism in South America. How did 24 police officers, military members, and civilians from Uruguay, Bolivia, Peru, and Chile end up being condemned in Italy? How is this judicial process interwoven with the fight against impunity in Uruguay? What is the result of this trial which last for over 20 years? This chapter provides some answers and focuses specifically on the Uruguayan case.
