Unravelling Operation Condor

Type

In this video, Francesca Lessa discusses her research into Operation Condor – the campaign of terror against political exiles waged across Latin America in the 1970s – and how her work has led to prosecutions being held in Argentina, Chile, Italy, and Uruguay against some of the individuals responsible. Chilean journalist Odette Magnet, the sister of one of the victims, describes her personal experience of loss and the search for justice. The Guardian journalist Giles Tremlett also contributed. The video was kindly produced by the Public Affairs Directorate of the University of Oxford.
